I have now had my laptop for just around 5 months before this Christmas. For that portion of time I was running my laptop quite often which would result in it getting extremely hot. I had figured that this was normal for laptops and that I should just let it do its thing. I then read an article online about how heat from the laptop not only damages the hardware of the laptop, causing it to run slower and die quicker, but it also lowers sperm count in males. After reading this, I quickly went out with one of the Best Buy gift cards I had gotten for Christmas and bought myself a laptop cooler. I have now been using it every time I use my laptop and I can clearly see the differences it is causing. My laptop is now running much quicker, it is starting faster, and the heat on the bottom has been greatly reduced. The differences in the laptop aren’t the only ones I have noticed, now when removing the laptop from my lap, I no longer feel it as hot on my lap as before. This feels like a good sign to me.
