On January 9th 2009, the 6 year old son of David Eugene Dodson and Jacqulyn Deana Waltman of Wicomico Church, Virginia, missed his school bus. At that time, his parents where sleeping and he had no other choice…

He grabbed the keys to his moms Taurus and began to drive himself to school! The 6 year old kid made it surprisingly far considering he made it over a bridge, and had to make several 90 degree turns.

But, like you would have guessed, he crashed eventually, into a electrical pole just less than a kilometer away from his school. But after he crashed, it wasn’t his ending point. He got out of the car and began to walk on foot. He didn’t make it to school though, someone caught up with him before he could and the police are currently charging his parents for child endangerment.

When police asked the kid were he learned to drive, he confidently said, on live television, he had learned from playing computer games, such as Grand Theft Auto, and Monster Truck Jam, and he had driven with his head out the window so he could see. Now maybe kid do learn something from video games after all?
